W&DW ExCo was able to discuss and plan about next steps and objectives for this 2018 as has announced a support program for new authors’ societies.
On the 15th and 16th of this month, the annual W&DW congress took place in the amazing city of Venice, without a doubt it was an unprecedented summit of creators.
Writers & Directors Worldwide dedicated its most recent executive committee (ExCo) meeting as an opportunity to add its support to the We’ve Had Enough campaign launched by Croatian audiovisual authors in response to political interference in film funding.
The Annual Writers & Directors Worldwide Congress was held in September in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It took place on the 28th, 29th and 30th of September and a large number of authors from all over the world participated in the event.
Within the framework of the CISAC Latin America and Caribbean Committee, a Day of Dramatic, Literary and Audiovisual Societies was held. Many audiovisual directors and screenwriters from around the world attended the event.
The International Creators Congress of the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers, CISAC – WRITERS & DIRECTORS WORLDWIDE was held in Beijing during the 5th and 6th of November.
Great level of attendance of Directors and general audience for the launching of DBCA – Directores Brasileiros de Cinema e do Audiovisual – in the city of Brasilia and two days later in Rio de Janeiro. Its Presidente Sylvio Back (below, to the right) gave a warm welcome to the public and the international guests which were part of this important event.
