Audiovisual authors representing collective management organisations who are members of the Executive Committee of W&DW – Writers And Directors WorldWide, are continuing their work remotely in order to determine and quantify the damages the pandemic has caused for directors, writers and playwrights worldwide.
Authors in New Zealand gathered yesterday with the authorities of their country, with the purpose of initiating a reform to the author’s ´rights law, which seeks to obtain recognition of audiovisual Works of the creators in that country.
APASER – Pan African Alliance of Scriptwriters and Directors launched, within the frame of the 50th Anniversary of FESPACO – Uagadugú Pan African Cinema and Television Festival , an app for mobile phones, which will contain a general vision of Audiovisual Directors and Scriptwriters ‘situation in Africa, with the purpose of establishing a strategy of development and improvement of their situation.
The International Council of Creators of Dramatic, Literary and Audiovisual Works will once again reunite in the city of Seoul, next July 1st to the 3rd, Republic of Korea, to celebrate its W&DW – Writers and Directors Worldwide Annual Congress and continue strengthening author’s rights in the entire world.
Audiovisual Creators from around Asia-Pacific, gathered last October 8, in the city of Busan, South Korea, in the framework of the Busan International Film Festival, for the official launch of the Alliance of Asia-Pacific Audiovisual Writers and Directors (AAPA).
The members of playwrights, literary and audiovisual societies from the entire world, which form the council of creators of W&DW, will gather in the headquarters of the Italian Management Society SIAE.
Reunited in Tokyo, and within the frame of their Executive Council annual meeting, W&DW promotes the rights of Authors, Directors and Screenwriters through the constitution of a new Asia – Pacific Alliance, adding on to the already created and successful ADAL for Latin America, and APASER for Africa.
From March 25th to 27th, The Annual W&DW Congress will be held in the city of Moscow, Russian Federation. This International Counsel of Dramatic, Literary and Audiovisual Works is carried out with the objective of strengthening the concept of authors’ rights within the region.
Today, Europe has made a historic step, which undoubtedly is the trigger for other territories: The European Parliament has approved the proposal for reform of copyright on the Internet today.
