Within the frame of the Executive Council meeting, gathered in Tokyo, the authors member of W&DW and its alliances ADAL and APASER, visited the offices of the Directors ´Guild of Japan (DGJ)
Reunited in Tokyo, and within the frame of their Executive Council annual meeting, W&DW promotes the rights of Authors, Directors and Screenwriters through the constitution of a new Asia – Pacific Alliance, adding on to the already created and successful ADAL for Latin America, and APASER for Africa.
The Society was formed and created to protect the rights and remuneration of directors, scriptwriters and filmmakers, national and foreign, as audiovisual authors
Within the frame of the Executive Committee meeting, W&DW will meet with DGJ – Directors Guild of Japan with the support of the Japanese Society of Authors, Composers and Editors ´Rights – JASRAC – and FESAAL – Federation of Latin American Audiovisual Authors Societies.
Training sessions took place, with the presence of all member management societies of FESAAL. Latin America keeps moving forward for the defence of Authors´rights for their Audiovisual Authors, on their territory and all over the world.
In the framework of the W&DW Annual Congress, celebrated in the city of Moscow, FESAAL signed a collaboration and cooperation Memorandum of Understanding with W&DW y APASER

In the city of Zagreb, on 21-22 February 2019, the International Conference “Women in the cinema industry” was held, organized by the Croatian Film Director’s Guild (DHFR), the management society for Directors and Scriptwriters of the country, convoking representatives and Authors of International Federations, management societies and key referring persons of the cinema industry.
